Premium is proud to be a sponsor of the inaugural Krewe du Kanaval. Krewe du Kanaval is a new Mardi Gras Krewe that will parade through the French Quarter of New Orleans to Congo Square in a joyful bacchanal before ending with a Ball at One Eyed Jacks on Tuesday, February 6th. A joint effort between Ben and Jeanette Jaffe and the Preservation Hall team, and Win Butler and Regine Chassagne, Krewe du Kanaval is the first new Krewe to join the New Orleans Mardi Gras in 5 years. Profits from the Krewe membership and the Ball will support charitable work in Haiti and New Orleans.

The Parade will leave Preservation Hall at 2pm, stopping at Congo Square and Premium Parking lot P249 for block parties. The Rhum and Drums Kanaval Ball will be headlined by Haitian band RAM. RAM have previously played the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and have toured with Arcade Fire on their Reflektor tour.

The Krewe will raise funds to benefit the Preservation Hall Foundation and KANPE, two not-for-profit organizations which serve important unmet social and cultural needs in New Orleans and Haiti. They plan to work year-round to celebrate the cultures that have enriched New Orleans' identity and arts for hundreds of years.
